🌟 Confidence & Connection at K2 🌟Our Level 2 Future Teacher group have been getting started with their first session, exploring what it means to be part of the K2 Dance Academy family. Together, they’ve been learning about the Academy structure, our values and our ethos, and thinking about how they fit into the wider K2 community and the role they can play within it. The session was all about building confidence, connection and a sense of belonging, encouraging our dancers to get to know one another, share ideas and begin to understand the opportunities that come with being part of the Academy. 🌟This is just the beginning of their Level 2 journey, and we’re so excited to see their confidence grow, their connections strengthen and each of them find their own place within our K2 family. 🫶#K2DanceAcademy #embodyfuturedanceteachers #DanceFamily ...

Meet the K2 Team - MISS ELLAHi everyone, I’m Miss Ella, I’ve been dancing for 19 years and have been teaching for the past four years. I currently teach a range of styles including Ballet, Theatre Craft, Riverdance and Acro, working with dancers from our Tots all the way through to adults.Dance has always been a huge part of my life. I actually grew up at K2, so it has always felt like a second home to me! My mum, Miss Kara, was a huge inspiration behind me becoming a dance teacher. I was constantly learning from her and growing up surrounded by dance, so it didn’t take long for me to completely fall in love with it myself. From around the age of 13, I was always looking for ways to get involved. I loved helping in the younger classes, getting involved with choreography and planning things at home, and of course, dancing absolutely everywhere I went! Looking back, I think those little moments were the beginning of me realising that teaching was something I really wanted to do.My favourite style to teach is definitely Theatre Craft. I love how dynamic and expressive it is and how much variety there is within the style. There are so many different ways to perform, create and tell a story, which makes it such a fun and enjoyable style to teach. And of course, you can’t beat dancing to your favourite musicals! There really is something for everyone.Outside of dance, I’m also kept busy with another career, as I work in finance too! When I’m not in the office or in the studio, you’ll often find me at the side of a rugby pitch at the weekend, supporting from the sidelines — even when it’s freezing cold, raining and I’m wondering why I agreed to stand outside!Something you might not know about me is that I am completely deaf in one ear. This is something that has always been a part of my dance journey and has sometimes presented challenges, particularly in different teaching and performance environments. However, over the years I’ve learnt how to adapt, find different ways to work and continue doing what I love. It’s taught me that having a challenge doesn’t have to stop you from pursuing something you love. ...
